"It's not what you do some of the time that counts, it's what you do all of the time that counts."--Jack LaLanne
My name is Mr. Gonzalo C. Valles. It will be an honor to have your child in my World History class.
This year we will be learning about World History. We study the entire human history of mankind and of significant people, events, and issues from the earliest times to the present. They will understand people, places, and environments at local, regional, national and international levels. I have a Bachelors Degree in History and a minor in Secondary Education. I have made an appearance in a history book, "Ghost Towns Alive" and several newspapers, such as, Tombstone News, Arizona Daily Star (Tucson) and the El Paso Times "A Victorian Wedding".
I began teaching at James Pickney Henderson Middle School in the fall of 2003, teaching World Cultures, U.S. History and Texas History. Currently, I am teaching World History at Thomas Jefferson High School. (My specialization is on Old West History with an emphasis on El Paso).
